법무부 외국인 유학생 비자 발급 및 체류관리 지침에 따른 외국인 유학생의 학위과정 별 총 체류기간 상한을 다음과 같이 안내합니다. 

가. 체류기간 상한 적용 대상: 유학(D-2) 체류자격을 소지한 외국인 유학생

나. 학위과정 총 체류기간의 상한

다. 참고사항

- 체류기간 상한 내에 학위를 취득하지 못한 경우, 해당 사유로 총 체류기간의 상한을 초과하는 유학(D-2) 체류자격 연장 불가함.

- 2학기(1년) 이상 연속하여 휴학하고 완전 출국하였다가 완전 출국일로부터 3년 이내 복학한 사람은 휴학 학기를 총 체류기간 상한에서 제외함. 단, 1학기만 휴학 신청하여 1학기만 완전출국하고 다시 복학한 경우는 해당 기간을 상한에서 제외하지 않고 기존 체류기간 상한 내에서 허용

[Guidance on the Maximum Total Period of Stay for International Students by Degree Program]

In accordance with the Ministry of Justice's guidelines on visa issuance and stay management for international students, please refer to the following information regarding the maximum total period of stay for each degree program. 

A. Applicable Target for Maximum Period of Stay
International students with the Study (D-2) visa status.

B. Maximum Total Period of Stay for Each Degree Program

C. Additional Information

• If you fail to obtain a degree within the maximum period of stay, an extension of the Study (D-2) visa beyond the total period of stay is not permitted for that reason.
• If you have taken a leave of absence for two or more consecutive semesters (1 year) and fully departed from the country, the period of leave will be excluded from the total period of stay if you return to CNU within 3 years of the complete departure. However, if you only took a leave of absence for one semester and departed the country, the period will not be excluded and will be counted towards the total period of stay.
